My HDR-FOX-T2 continues to give me great service after all this time, and the customised firmware has made it a great asset. But when you have a UHD TV, an extra set of HD channels that you get on Freesat becomes tempting. I had a dish installed yesterday, and bought the Freesat 4k recordable...
Can somebody remind me how to set the system to perform a backup of the schedule daily. For some reason mine appears to have stopped on the 11th July.

How do I change my registered email address associated with hpkg.tv ? I logged in, and went to Settings, but the email address there does not appear to be modifiable.

Can I use one of the custom firmware utilities to save my current tuning setup, so that I can experiment with manually tuning to different transmitter(s), and afterwards return to my current setup if necessary ?
If so, how ?
What's in my mind here, is that my local transmitter (Chesterfield)...
I recently went on holiday for a fortnight, and the second night I was away the Humax locked up, and thus the remaining schedule was not recorded. B*gger. This got me to thinking about using a simple mains timer switch to switch off the HDR-FOX T2 at, say 03:00 (I never schedule recordings at...
I notice that my version of WebIf is at 1.0.14-10 (Lighttpd), and that the development of WebIf has now moved on somewhat. I had naively assumed that I would be offered newer versions within "Package Management" under the "Upgrades" tab, but only Nicesplice and Sweeper are offered there (neither...
Just did a manual retune, and no BBC4HD is found from the Chesterfield transmitter. The other HD channels including BBC3HD are found. So, is BBC4HD being carried by COM7 from a different area? Or will it be implemented later ? Just a bit confused really.

Whenever I do an automatic scan I end up with many stations in the 8nn range. In the past I have surmounted this by creating a custom Group and allocating the strongest to it. Obviously, it's not the best solution. And looking in the Wiki it states :-
My question is How do I determine what...
I just wanted to say a big thanks to those clever people who have devised and maintain the "customised firmware". This functionality has added a significant dimension to the enjoyment of my new HDR-FOX T2.
That's it really - just thanks. Your skills and generosity are very much appreciated...
Bought my HDR-FOX T2 two weeks ago, and immediately installed the custom firmware. Everything seems to be working fine EXCEPT that I can't get Decrypt to work.
I go to "Browse Media files", drill down into the folder containing an HD recording. I tick the file, and click on OPT+. "Decrypt"...
My father-in-law has always had trouble with his Humax 9200. Whenever he records something from ITV3, the recording gets corrupted, and he ends up having to reformat his disk. He's wondering whether the latest Humax model might be more reliable, but he doesn't want to replace his analogue TV...
