  Hmm. I'll definitely hang fire until that's released, see what it can do. So, I could use Netflix on my laptop and 'cast it to the Aura? That could work, especially as I have the Get_Iplayer PVR working nicely.

  Ooh, I'll try that. I tried a wired keyboard, and got nothing - but that was some time ago, on an older device. I've found the apps generally poor, in the past; perhaps time to revisit?

  Not sure it's an "oversight", as deliberate spoiler. Apple seem to go out of their way to limit interoperability with MS. Their version of iTunes for Windows was possibly the worst piece of software I've ever used - and I've worked on IBM mainframe products!

  From the review on YouTube, it seems fairly brisk and responsive. I suppose if you're as crap as Humax seem to be at UI design, it makes sense to buy it in from an expert - i.e. Android. Still no folders, from what I've seen: I used to really like the folders feature on older Humax boxes...

10. How to record ITV hub programs onto FVP 5000T?
  
  You can download iPlayer content (for a limited time) to your PC, there's no need for get_iplayer unless you plan to keep it longer.

  Whenever you need to spell things out on the UI, it's a massive pain. Especially when it sometimes exhibits quirky behaviour. Has anyone found a way to make it work with a USB keyboard? The gold standard, of course, would be a wireless one.

12. Problems with BBC1
  
  It also seems to be more prevalent on some programmes than others. My partner is keen on her medical soaps (despite watching them from behind her hands when it gets messy) and both Casualty and Holby City seem particularly prone to problems. It may be just that these are peak-time broadcasts.

13. Problems with BBC1
  
  We have BBC North West on channel 1, and BBC West Midlands on 801. We had a similar issue with the old T2 box, to be honest; most of our problems were with BBC1. I'll try tweaking the manual tuning. At least you don't lose your schedule now when you re-tune.

15. Problems with BBC1
  
  We seem to routinely have problems with content on BBC1. I've even tried recording items on 2 different BBC1 channels (NW and West Mids), and we get the same stuttering and pixelation, especially on recordings. And so then we try to get the program up on iPlayer, and it keeps buffering...

  I use Almond 3 routers to provide a mesh network. One of the benefits is that I can schedule connection permission at device level.

  Has anyone heard any rumours about Mirai or other bots infecting the 4000T? I keep getting my IP blocked by the Spamhaus CBL, saying a device on my network is implicated in a botnet. It's mainly on linux devices.. and I remembered someone talking about the 4000 hammering their DSL connection.....

You can download iPlayer content (for a limited time) to your PC, there's no need for get_iplayer unless you plan to keep it longer.
