      Thanks af123 Performed the diagnostic and it seemed to push everything to the server, didn't list BGT in the output, RS also reports it just saw the box and the offending failed recording message has gone. I can only think the RS package stopped pushing the data to the server each night...

      Erm it must be getting on for nearly 3 years I think so wouldn't be surprised if the drive was getting tired. Are they IDE or SATA drives and is there any limitations or anything specific a new drive needs to be if i did swap the old one out (such at max 1Tb, 7200rpm etc etc)
