Aha, a quantum physics degree in a state of superposition, like Schrödinger's cat. Just don't look!

There I was passing through the outskirts of Nottingham Railway Station and I saw one of the food and drink outlets advertising a "Shatato". What the heck is a shatato? Whatever it is I won't be trying one. :poop:

That's the one.
What's the filling? I suppose any of the fillings listed could loosen the bowels!
Why have I never spotted it before? I frequently change between the tram and bus at the railway station and today was the first time I spotted it.

Gotta laugh.

Yesterday, ClassicFM's news/weather bulletins were talking about Saharan dust, and (being a Philip Pullman fan) I got to wondering whether I would see it through an Amber Spyglass, and if we will receive some kind of Moroccan version of Original Sin.

However, they also said the dust would come down in the rain as a red sludge, "mainly on cars"! What? So Moroccan Original Sin affects motor vehicles?? My car has a demon???

Gotta laugh.
I haven't. Sorry, it just isn't funny to me.

The GMB (ITV) weather presenter warned about the dust and suggested it was a waste of time washing your car today (yesterday or Wednesday) as it would end up covered in red sludge when it rained. Today they were showing pictures of sunset/sunrise claiming they were impressive due to the dust. I was underwhelmed!

BBC Weather news page has a tabloid style headline for the Saharan dust... "Striking sunsets with risk of 'blood rain' as Saharan dust sweeps UK".

'Blood rain'? More orange to me, like my avatar background.

At the moment I'm looking - just in case. The other company is part of Currys so should be okay. The oven is still working although the top heating element is a bit droopy. The grill element and the bottom element still work as well. Hopefully no decision required soon - famous last words!
Just passing by and saw this. I've been very happy with a replacement grill element made to spec by an outfit in Liverpool
a quick scan brings this up

I bought an extra to ensure there could be no day that had to miss grilled bacon in the butties. Still in its box of course - having a spare is the best guarantee against failure I know of.

I bought two last time I had to replace my circular one from The Element Man, and indeed the spare is still in the box and long overdue for fitting at previous failure rates.

The best way to guarantee the original will never fail is to buy a spare.
The best way to guarantee the original will fail is not to have bought a spare.

An object in motion is always travelling in the wrong direction.
An object at rest is always in the wrong place.

Recently got a used HDR-Fox T2. Fun setting it up initially, got no channels detected. I had moved the aerial cable from TV (which was working on Freeview via said cable) and plugged into the HDR... no channels found on a scan. Back into TV, works fine! Repeated... same! Spot the problem (picture of TV aerial socket):-

Too true.
Travelling by tram yesterday away from my ultimate destination - needed to get to the railway station or the next two stops to transfer to a bus heading in the right direction. Then the tram was held at a stop before the station because of an "incident", so I was in the wrong place.

Still got that unused VCR I bought as a spare. The original has failed, but who uses VCRs? Chances are the tapes have stuck and would damage the spare VCR.

I used my S-VHS VCR a few months ago to watch an old tape and check the Teletext on there (which S-VHS has the bandwidth to record). Tape and VCR are both fine.
