[rs] Remote Scheduling v1

If you let me know the device ID for your box (from the RS settings screen) then I can check if it sent you an email.

I have experienced a slight problem with [rs].
It would appear that is unable to schedule a series where the name matches that of an existing series (or maybe it is something else and that is just a coincidence).

Here is the scenario.
At work on Monday I noted a series that I knew the wife would like (Paul Hollywood's Pies & Puds, if you must know :) ).
The series started that day, so I knew that although I could request it on [rs], the box would not pick up the schedule in time for the first episode.
So, I found the repeat series (on Saturday) and scheduled that as well. I set a reboot as well.
I had expected both series to get loaded into the schedule on Monday night, hence the first series would start recording with episode 2 on Tuesday.
Tuesday night, I noticed that nothing had recorded. Checking the schedule, only Saturday was scheduled. So I used [rs] to schedule the weekday series again (to start with episode 3 on Wednesday), plus a reboot.
However, looking today, I can see that the weekday series is still not scheduled on the box (box last seen 9:10 today).

The box has been turned on at least once each evening, and it also performs a recording each weekday morning, so plenty of opportunity for schedule updates.
The device log shows that it found the series and rebooted last night (but reported "Already passed").

I will try to schedule it again and see what happens tonight.

UPDATE... same again; found event, already passed and not scheduled.

I've not had an email since last Sunday - Unique Identifier d6333640

I've got it set to send an email for any film made since 2009 so usually get an email each day

Both are finding a number of matches when I check on RS (show matching events) but none are being emailed.

So looks lie the rule is not being processed at the normal 8am or if it is it's not resulting in an email when it finds a match

The following entry misses the program at 22.00 tonight on Picktv. Any reasons why it does not show up? I have reset the matching as well and it did not return the program.
The word is cricket just in case is not seen well in picture

I would use Email + Event rather than Email + Series, however I can't see any Cricket on Pick at 22:00 anyway

That's the entry I just set about 30min ago. From the epg

It sounds like the RSepg is not updated.

"cricket" with a lower case "c"? It only appears in the synopsis as "Brisbane Cricket Ground". I'm not sure whether the search is case sensitive, but it looks as if it might be.

**** can you not quote anymore in this forum?****

"cricket" search in webif finds the program; same search in rsepg does not.

Also, I have found out that a series recording, started way back, which shows as in the picture does not record anymore and also does not allow me to record series or any other option apart from Close.

Some more issues
I received the following email

Film4

[Mon, 25 Nov 2013 23:10:00 +0000 / 01:45]

Black Pond

(2011) Tom Kingsley and Will Sharpe's debut feature is an eccentric black comedy about a family dealing with the unexpected consequences of inviting a stranger to dinner. Strong language.

= Matched email alert ( / +(2009 2010 2011 2012 2013)) =

But on the same day 21.00 Knight and day 2010 did not feature in the email. Anyone any idea why?

can't see any quote button just like, reply
The "Reply" button quotes the whole post being replied to, or you can use the "Quote" button above the reply panel to add Quote tags to a selected portion of text.

No, but if you post your boxes unique RS ID (from the settings page in the RS interface) I'll have a look.

So I thought it worked, but for some reason my IE does not want to do that anymore. Now using chrome it works as I used to know. Thanks.

Yes, but it's not the same code running in the WebIF as on the RS web server. Have you tried a search for "Cricket"?
If the codes are different then the RS should use Webif's code. And Cricket is not found on RS either.

It's not necessarily as simple as that. WebIF executes on the Humax, using the interpreters and code base compiled and resident under the Humax's operating system. The RS executes on a web server array somewhere, with a possibly similar but potentially completely different foundation. The code itself could be identical, but would not necessarily execute identically.

Regardless, at least you have tested the obvious thing and searched for exactly the string contained in the target EPG entry, and thus clarified that there is a real problem.
