i do and fair number of other people I suspect. What I don't do very much is watch ITV channels live but I did see the intermittent blank screen problem on my Aura when I chose to watch the mid-week FA Cup match live for a few minutes.
I also have the occasional duplicate but with the ability to record 4 channels simultaneously I don't consider it a significant problem and I would certainly prefer to have a duplicate rather than no recording at all.
Lots of people on several forums have reported this problem and it has also been affecting the Aura. A user over on MyHumax.org has said "I have been in contact with Humax Technical Support and I have been informed that all Humax Aura Users in the UK are experiencing this problem, Humax...
I don't recollect any runaway recordings with my Aura although I did experience a few with the HDR-FOX T2.
Now is the time for them to speak up if they do.
Certainly the problem wasn't reported until several years after the 9300T was released and I have always suspected it was a CODEC problem in the decoding hardware. I have never seen it reported for the earlier 9200T or any of the alter Humax boxes.
Is there any diagnostic built into the 9xxx series? HumaxCheck by XYZ 321 is the only file system checking tool that I am aware of for the 9xxx series.
I have seen multiple posts from different users about modern drives not working in a FOXSAT HDR out of the box.
Here is a precis of a recent post from user Dean123 over at myhumax.org
Are you sure that it is me confusing things?
It would be better to secure the SSD with something better than tape for long term usage. I certainly would expect it to require less cooling than a mechanical drive. If you want a short term experiment then any SSD will do as they will all have far more read and write performance than a...
I wonder why the delay varies? Could other Aura users tell us what delay they see between initiating playback of an HD recording and the playback starting (I would define that as the counter on the timeline starting to advance). The make and model of TV would be useful as well.
What I see is a significant pause on HD recordings before playback starts which I would define as picture appearing and the timeline starting to advance, about 3 seconds. So I would say playback hadn't started when I hit the FF button. Do you see a pause? My setup is Aura connected by HDMI to...
Ok I recorded the Monday BBC1 News in HD. Initially I couldn't reproduce the problem because I always wait until the programme starts to play before pressing fast forward or skip buttons. However I can reproduce the problem if I use the fast forward before the programme starts to play.
It is unfortunate that you titled the thread "Skip forward/back not working properly" when your issue seems to be with fast forward.
I deleted the HD recording so I will try and remeber to have another go tomorrow.
OK I recorded todays lunch time BBC1 News in HD on my Aura. I couldn't find any problem with skipping forward or backward. My skip settings are 1 minute forward and 15s back.
