The issue with networking isn't signal related; it is believed that the Humax code isn't good at handling network errors which then leads to crashes. I would be a be a bit surprised if it was happening at startup though.

I think you will need to rename it as hdr_fox_t2_upgrade.hdf.
I think you need to use rufus (or similar software) to organise the USB stick in the required format. See https://rufus.ie/en/

Surely there is some difference as I thought you can't use software versions pre 1.03.xx with the horizontal tuners? I agree for the users case it won't matter.
Try disconnecting the hard drive, if it then boots up try reading this thread https://hummy.tv/forum/threads/start-up-fails-when-hdd-connected.10164/ which documents a capacitor causing the problem.
i do and fair number of other people I suspect. What I don't do very much is watch ITV channels live but I did see the intermittent blank screen problem on my Aura when I chose to watch the mid-week FA Cup match live for a few minutes.
I also have the occasional duplicate but with the ability to record 4 channels simultaneously I don't consider it a significant problem and I would certainly prefer to have a duplicate rather than no recording at all.
Lots of people on several forums have reported this problem and it has also been affecting the Aura. A user over on MyHumax.org has said "I have been in contact with Humax Technical Support and I have been informed that all Humax Aura Users in the UK are experiencing this problem, Humax...
