Coronavirus Lockdown Chat

...for a shop worker on an 8 hour shift they might be in proximity for a short time of a number of infected customers, so their risk is that number higher than yours.
That is the point I was making. Admittedly here in Guildford the situation might well be very different from say Leicester, but from what I am told there have been no cases amongst their staff.

First job for us on getting into the car is to use a hand sanitizer, it's becoming second nature now.

What car? I have to load myself up like a pack horse. No spare space for hand sanitiser even if I could find any in the shop.

Not forgetting to wipe down the car keys and door handle used to open the car door to get to the sanitiser.

I cannot really understand the government’s hypocrisy in ‘throwing’ Huawei out of the UK’s 5G network because of the perceived security threat, yet use Tik-Tok for their socially distanced parliamentary meetings.

I wonder if the office they were working from was following best distancing / cleansing practise as advised by the government. If they were, spells disaster for the policy of office workers being asked to return to work.

I wonder how many contacts from it they'll manage to trace :rolling:
Gets confusing. NHS England farms out the test and trace to a private firm in Motherwell that has now been closed by NHS Lanarkshire/Public Health Scotland.
And, in any case, are they allowed to trace their own workers as test and trace breaks the GDPR data law? You couldn't make it up.

Could it be that snowflake-ism is actually a symptom of insecurity, lack of confidence, lack of self esteem? Discuss.

passive aggressive period period
No need to bring up menstruation, and twice at that. (I'm getting fed up of that daytime advert for some menstruation charity.)

Quite likely. I had to laugh at two people arguing this morning about banning certain items from The Last Night of the Proms - Land of Hope and Glory and Rule Britannia. One person argued that reference to slaves was offensive to black people. The other person argued against that view. Both contributers were black. (See article at https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/ar...annia-Land-Hope-Glory-BANNED-Night-Proms.html for more information if interested.)
Something tells me the professor arguing for the ban could well be displaying insecurity, lack of confidence/self-esteem even though he is well qualified. Or maybe he has an axe to grind.

Why should we be more concerned with "racism" in this country that they are in their's, and if it's so bad why do they want to come here?

"Get it up there girls". That one? Luvly Jubly art tea time. Really pleased I don't have any kids at home. I expect you will be accused of being sexist if you complain.

If it's okay to ban chocolate, sweets, burger and sugary drink adverts during the day - why not that one? Then we'd be left with the other charity and the "have you planned for your funeral?" ads.

Because the kiddy winkies don't go out and buy loads of them and stuff them down their necks like they do sweets.
